Events

Main Event

A single elimination with progressive consolation format, along with a fresh draw last chance will be used in the Championship and Advanced divisions.  A trophy will be awarded to each division winner.

Championship Division ($260 – 90% return) with optional $100 side pool.

Advanced Division ($140 – 85% return) with optional $60 side pool.

Novice Division ($30 – 80% return). The format for the novice division ($30–80% return) will be determined at the tournament to maximize the experience for the players.

869 Backgammon Board SidePool ($30) Win one of two leather competition boards! Entrants that get the farthest in Open and Advanced division will win one of these handmade, customized backgammon boards.Ties will be decided by a 5 point playoff.

Calcutta Auction (90% return) for the Championship and Advanced Divisions.

Badger Classic ($400 – 90% return) is a single elimination tournament. An optional side pool is available ($100 – 100% return). Play begins on Friday at 7pm. All matches are 11 points. All matches will be clocked. A trophy will be awarded to the winner.

Amateur Jackpot ($100 – 90% return) is a single elimination tournament limited to players who have not cashed in any multi-day tournament Open or Championship division or Masters type Jackpot. Play begins on Friday until bracket is filled. All matches are 9 points.

Early Bird Jackpot ($50 – 85% return) is a single elimination tournament limited to the first 16 players available. All matches are 7 points.

Doubles ($150 per team – 85% return, optional $50 side pool) is a single elimination tournament with re-entries allowed if space permits. All matches are 7 points. All matches will be clocked. Trophies will be awarded to the winning team.

Speed Gammon ($50—85% return) is a single elimination tournament. Five point matches, played with a clock (2 minutes reserve, 10 second delay).

5-point blitzes and 1-point quickies will be available throughout the weekend.

If you get to town early, don't miss the Super Early Bird on Thursday evening. If you are not in a hurry to go home, stick around for the After Tournament Tournament on Sunday evening.
